We have received an update from Leicestershire County Council with regards to the gas installation works for the Jaguar Landrover site at junction 11 of the A42:

A444 STRETTON EN LE FIELD; CHURCH STREET AND CHAPEL STREET, DONISTHORPE; SMISBY ROAD AND THE CALLIS, ASHBY DE LA ZOUCH,
Please find below updated information relating to the gas installation works for Project Mercia.
The works on the A444 this weekend were postponed due to the wet weather conditions. The closure of the A444 is planned for Friday 20th November from 20:00hrs to Monday 23rd November 06:00hrs.
Church Street, Donisthorpe is closed at present until the end of November. During this closure the one way on New Street, and Narrow Lane, Donisthorpe has been suspended to allow access and egress for residents. Traffic for Narrow Lane is being controlled by temporary traffic signals. If required temporary no waiting will be placed on New Street to allow for 2-way traffic.
Chapel Street, Donisthorpe will be closed whilst works are undertaken across the junction of Chapel Street – date still to be confirmed.
Smisby Road and The Callis, Ashby de la Zouch will be closed as follows:
King George Avenue to Hollywell Avenue - from the 23rd November to 30th November
Holywell Avenue to Park Drive - from 30th November to 7th December
Meredith Road to Rowena Drive – from 7th December to 14th December
Rowena Drive to Bluebell Inn – from 14th December to the 18th December
Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.
