Have you considered becoming a councillor in Leicestershire or Rutland? Parish Council elections will be held in May 2019 when a new council will be elected.

Information events are being held across Leicestershire for potential candidates. The events are aimed at encouraging people to stand for election in May 2019 at either parish or district level.

Officers from North West Leicestershire District Council will be supporting at the events on:

  • Saturday 27th October at Blaby District Council, Desford Road, Narborough, LE19 2EP from 10am to 12pm.
  • Saturday 17th November at Charnwood Borough Council, Southfield Road, Loughborough, LE11 2TX from 10am to 12pm.

The events are aimed at letting people know what it means to be a councillor at both District and Parish level and how they can get involved, including the nomination process.
